The CarterKone is the finest lens manufactured for most keratoconic patients.
Most epiedemiological studies of keratoconus show that the apex of the cone in a majority of patients is located inferior to the geometric center of the cornea.  The CarterKone lens has a decentered optical zone that is placed over the apex of the cone.  The lens therefore fits like a key with precise centration and optics.

Any fitting philosophy can be manufactured according to the preference of the contact lens fitter; apical touch or apical clearance designs available.

CarterKone is also available in toric designs.

REV-KONE

The newest lens design for keratoconus developed by Bill Carter for advanced inferior cones with large flat superior corneas.  The RevKone is manufactured with a steep inferior curve to support the base of the kone while the large flat superior optical zone provides excellant optics.

SOPERCONE

The traditional keratoconic lens design offering a steep central optical zone with flat peripheral curves that may be manufactured to any fitting philosophy.
